Our owners have many years experience in the grooming business. Megan Cook – our doggy stylist- has been styling dogs for over 3 years, trained in a busy “pet spa” while attending The Nash Academy of Pet Grooming. She has traveled to Kentucky where the academy is located to receive practical hand scissor training from the Nash’s themselves, who have been involved in the competitive world of pet grooming for over 40 years. She is a_ member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America and working towards her Terrier certification. She actively attends educational seminars and continuing education courses on pet grooming and business ethics.
All of our pets are groomed by appointment and all grooms are hand scissor finished. Prices may vary based on the size, breed, or amount of time spent grooming your pet. Pets not groomed in the past 4-6 weeks or pets who have tangles or matts may take slightly longer than pets groomed on a regular basis.

Teeth Brushing … $6.00
Oral Hygiene is very important. We now know that brushing your dog’s teeth 2-3 times a week can add 5-7 years_to their life. Every pet requesting teeth brushing at Best In Show will have their own single use toothbrush with a mild refreshing mint toothpaste, and all teeth will be brushed as thoroughly as possible!
Nail Trim … $10–$12
A nail trim is included in a full salon service, but you can bring your baby in anytime to get a quick nail trim. We trim nails with nail clippers and a dremel depending on what your pet is most comfortable with. We try to dremel every nail so nails are as short as they can be and all edges are nice and soft.
Soft Claws … $10–$15
Even the most well manicured pets can scratch a leg or snag a blouse from time to time. Best In Show is proud to offer Soft Claws! These are a soft rubber coating fitted over your pets nails. We personally use these on our Miniature Pinscher, Kingsley, because even though his nails are always trimmed he still manages to scratch our legs and arms when he plays!
Paw-ticures … $5–$10
Yes, we paint nails! We have a selection of “hot” nail polish shades for you to choose from so your pet can be as fashion forward as you are!
Medicated Shampoo … $5–$10
Our Medicated Shampoo Treatment was formulated with the help of a Veterinary Dermatologist. It reduces inflammation, kills bacteria, cleans open sores and is great for dogs with allergies. We follow this with a healing shampoo good for treating hot spots, helping to stimulate hair growth and cell rejuvenation.
Shed Out … $10
One of our most common concerns with our pets is shedding. Here at Best In Show we like to consider out Shed Out one of our favorite salon treatments. Removing the dead undercoat from your pet using specialized shampoo, bathing & drying techniques, as well as specific tools that eliminate shedding and have your vacuum cleaner thanking you!
